Saved $26 today at Eckerds

September 15th, 2006 at 06:13 pm

A few items I bought today at Eckerds with my 50% off coupon with the price I paid (and saved!):

Digital thermometer: $4.50
Eckerd Sleeping Meds(Unisom): $3.50
Eckerd brand Lactaid: $3.20
Eckerd Zinc Lozenges(ColdEeze): $2.50
Facial wipes: $1.50

I saved $24 just with the Eckerd 50% off coupon - WooHoo!!! Smile

By the way, there are flyers next to the front door at the store with these coupons, so you can still take advantage of the sales even if you did not get the Sunday paper!

Eckerd Drug products 50% off this week

September 11th, 2006 at 01:29 am

I haven't seen this sale in awhile. They used to do this every 6 months or so and I would stock up on Eckerd brand baby wipes and their brand of Pedialyte. They seem to have stopped doing the sale like they used to - where it would just be announced in their weekly flyer and you could buy as much as you wanted. This week's flyer has a coupon that is good for any 10 Eckerd brand items at 50% off (with some restrictions of course).

I plan on stocking up on sleeping pills for my husband (the insomniac), and will look around and see what other good Eckerd brand products I can buy now at such great savings.

They also had a coupon in this week's flyer for $1.00 off any 2 Suave products, and their Suave shampoo and conditioner is already on sale for 88 cents each. Hooray! After the coupon I will only pay 38 cents per bottle! Smile

To buy or not to buy

Just a heads up.

Listerine has started selling a new mouth rinse for kids called Agent Cool Blue which is supposed to work like a disclosing solution - it should show you the spots which have plaque by tinting them a blue color and then you can do a better job brushing and flossing.

I have heard from a few different people that it just does not work. I have not tried it, but after hearing this from other hygienists that have tried it, I probably will not be buying it.

If you have tried it, please let me know what you think!

Bye bye money

I had to shell out almost $300 today for school. $255 for some new instruments (which is really dirt cheap compared to what I would pay if I were not a student), and $45 for membership dues for the ADHA (American Dental Hygienist Association).

I hate when I have no choice but to spend money. I can't even shop around. But, I know it is for a good cause and I will be glad to have that license in my hand. Still that was almost all our savings so times continue to get tighter in our household.

Speaking of school, it is just unbelievable the amount of new tasks we have to learn in the next 3-1/2 months! I am afraid my blog may get neglected at times, but I will try to hang around and keep things up to date as much as possible.

Oh, almost forgot, I received a $5 check from Pinecone Research in the mail today. Hooray! I love them. They are so dependable and you always know you will be paid for each and every survey you take. What could be better?! Smile
